Job description
Reporting directly to the CEO + President of UNITZ
Guide and build internal and external understanding of the brand to clarify how we show up to consumers:
- Through consumer research, existing materials and gut instinct, lead the evolution and clarifying of our brand fundamentals: key insights, reasons to believe, what drives consumer adoption and love.
- Build upon the strong existing work to drive the Design agenda for the brand
Connect with our consumers to drive interest, engagement, and purchase, experimenting with new ways to connect with consumers and invite them to fall in love with the brand:
- Own our brand marketing budget
- Own our marketing agency relationships
- Lead the team to optimize our communications mix via well-designed tests and then scaling what works (including influencers, affiliates, sampling, media, etc.)
- Lead brand partnerships, an important source of acquiring consumers
- Lead our social media strategy and execution
- Partner with Customer Development and DTC (Direct to Customer) to ensure needs of the customer and channel are met (photography, key messages, signage, video, selling kits, etc.)
Co-lead our Innovation and Renovation agenda together with our Product team:
- Develop our innovation strategy in partnership with Product team
- Co-lead development of our product innovation and renovation roadmap
- Lead product associated with brand partnerships
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in marketing with excellent leadership skills & demonstrated experience managing a team
- Strong business acumen, solid understanding of commercial imperatives, results orientation
- Ability to convert Vision to a differentiating Strategy to Executional excellence
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong presentation skills, proven ability to influence diverse levels of stakeholders
- Ability to inspire the organization to become faster, more agile and consumer obsessed
- Strong understanding of marketplace, including regional differences and diverse channels of distribution
- Proven skills in selecting talent, upholding a healthy internal culture and developing others
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to work with others as part of cross-functional teams, build consensus, and achieve results across a wide variety of distinct groups.
